Remarks: Syntype of Pennula millei, Dole. Hawaiian Almanac and Annual for 1879, p. 54, 1878. Rec'd with the Mills collection of Hawaiian birds. One of 5 ì syntypes (2 at BPBM). Current nomenclature= Porzana sandwichensis.
