Description: This is Maui's only deep draft harbor. It includes a 2,315 ft breakwater to the west, a 2.760 ft breakwater to the east, a 600 ft wide entrance channel and two commercial piers. The vessels present are mainly large cruise ships and barges.

Samples: Samples were collected from the northern wall of the bay and the break walls along the beach area as well as the drift material along the shoreline. 2 Ulva species exist in abundance as a result of freshwater influence from a small stream and upwellings from springs.
